HTC’s new Vive Wrist Tracker makes VR more immersive

HTC is ready to expand the add-on warehouse available for focus 3 Vive, starting with a new wrist tracker. Specifically built to work with tracking inside-out focus 3 which Vive, Vive Wrist Tracker displays the installation of one button for easier connectivity. HTC said that the tracker was also 85% smaller than the controller for Vive Focus 3, and 50% lighter too.

Part of what makes the vive wrist tracker very cool, is that it is not tied only on your wrist. You will also be able to attach trackers to other devices, such as toy weapons, wrenches, and whatever you want to bring to the virtual world. This is a neat idea that will help you make your VR experience more deep by giving you real world components to interact.

HTC also said that the wrist track would be able to predict movement when the headset could not see it. In addition, even though it is located on your wrist, it will be able to accurately track your arm location, when you bend your elbows, and much more.

In addition to offering more deep ways to carry objects into the VR experience, the HTC Wrist Tracker will also let you draw 3 degrees of freedom devices (DOF) to 6 DOF. With 3 DOF, users can only interact with objects using joysticks or other interactive controls. However, with 6 DOF, users can interact directly with objects and can be tracked in the 3D environment.

With an wrist tracker, HTC will allow users to track small objects such as ping pong paddles or wrenches with greater precision. This allows greater immersion in certain environments. Unfortunately, you will need an optional add-on to attach the tracker to the device, but HTC says it will release CAD 3D for people who want to build a dock or take advantage of their trackers. The vive wrist path is set to be launched in early 2022 and will be retail for $ 129.
