Google has announced many upcoming Android improvements that are scheduled to be released in 2022. The company made announcements as part of CES 2022, and the improvement was seen significantly increasing the overall experience of using Android, especially on several devices.
Google released Android 12 on October 2021, but the company continues to increase improvement and features. One area, in particular, that Google focuses is when working with other devices. According to Deloitte, the average US household now has 25 connected devices, up from 11 in 2019. Given how many smartphones are in the center of the workflow device connected, Google clearly wants to improve the experience with Android.
One of the biggest areas that Google’s enhanced is the feature of his fast pair. Quickly designed pairs to speed up and simplify the process of pairing Android phones with Bluetooth devices. According to the company, it works to support enhancements, including TV and smart home products. Google plans to expand this function to Chromebook, too.

Users can unlock their Chromebook with their Android phones. Google plans to expand this function to enter WearOS devices, so users will be able to unlock cellphones, tablets, or chromebooks with their Android watches.
The company also increases its support for vehicle integration, adopting the use of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology. This technology allows cellphones to unlock in pairs without the need to have a physical phone close to the key. Instead, users will be able to leave their cellphones in their pockets and can still access their vehicles.
Individuals with many devices will soon be able to interact with data or media throughout their devices. For example, say someone watching a movie on their tablet using their headphones. If their phone rings, the movie will stop when the headphone automatically switches the connection to the phone, and then switches back after the call is complete.
Google also increases the phone hub to provide Chromebook access to the mobile chat application, without the need to reinstall them on the Chromebook. This will make it easier to stay in touch through the Chromebook when someone’s cellphone is out of reach.
In the first for Android, Google is developing for other platforms, especially Microsoft Windows. This will lead to increased integration between the two platforms.
“For example, by connecting your Android phone to your Windows PC with a fast pair, you will be able to quickly manage Bluetooth accessories, synchronize text messages, and share files with the nearest share,” Kay continued. “We work with Acer, HP and Intel to bring these experiences to choose a Windows PC first this year.”
Some new features of Android, such as fast pair repairs, will start multiplying in the next few weeks. Other features will be available throughout the year.
