In 2021, a report stated that Valve was working on a new virtual reality headset that would be designed to compete with Oculus Quest and Quest 2. The device that was being worked on by Valve was given a password, deckard, and found in the Steamvr Valve code. Cut until 2022, a patent submitted in December 2021, was issued on June 16, 2022 and confirmed the speculation of the valve working on the VR Mandiri headset.
